These photos were taken by neighbor Mark Kille in late March of 2003. He was trying to document the bad conditions of Winner Road.
He later used these photos, in discussions with neighbors, to unite the Neighbors of Winner Road Association and drive a co-operative project with the city to improve Winner Road.
This project should be completed by Summer of 2006.

A few photos from the BBQ Fundraiser for the Englewood Police Station, held on Thursday, October 12th, 2006.
The "Neighbors of Winner Road" had 3-4 volunteers helping out at any given time at this event.
The Fundraiser was sponsored by the Englewood Business Association and the Maywood Merchants Association. Westlake Hardware donated the flowers. (I'm sure there were a few more sponsors whom I cannot remember as I write this. My apologies.)

These photos were taken on Saturday, April 28th, when several neighborhood groups partnered together to repaint the graffiti-covered railroad bridge at 18th & Ash... and clean up all the trash and brush surrounding it!
Groups who worked this included: Englewood Gardens, Maywood Watchdogs, the Englewood Business Association, Bristol Neighborhood #5, the Independence Police, the Independence Police "V.I.Ps" (Volunteers in Police Service), and the Neighbors of Winner Road Association.

These photos were taken shortly after the completion of our sidewalk and median project.

This particular Flag Day celebration in Englewood was a bit special. In addition to celebrating Flag Day and our veterans, we were also celebrating the "Flags on Winner Road Project".
This was a project where the Englewood Business Association, in cooperation with our organization and a few other neighborhood organizations, put money together to pay for U.S. flags and brackets.... to be hung on all of the street light poles running on Winner Road from Chrysler all the way to Van Horn High School (Truman Road).
